Hello Ramblers

I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas. It isgood to be able to report another successful year for the club. This year has seen the largest groups yet out on the Sunday rambles. The numbers of active ramblers are increasing each year which looks promising for the club.
The tickets for our bumper raffle are selling well but I still  have a lot of books to send out so if any of your friends or family would like to support us by buying a book or two please let me know. There are still a lot of tickets to sell and we need all the help we can get. Our thanks to all who very kindly sent in donations towards the printing and publishing expenses.

CHRISTMAS DINNER:
The Christmas dinner this year will be held at The MY OLD DUTCH Pancake House restaurant at 132 High Holbom WCIV 6PS. The meal is booked for 7pm. Members can attend 6pm Mass at the church of St  Anselms and St Cecilia on east side of Kingswny a few steps from Holbom tube station (Central or Piccadilly Line). Please let Tom know as soon as possible if you would like to hook for the meal.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:
JANUARY 20th. 1996 See separate notice, also please note we are at a different venue, but still in Pimlico.

The 65th AGM was held on Saturday 7th of October. A new committee was elected. Names are printed in this programme. Our thanks to the outgoing committee for all their hard work and dedication over the last year.Only three ladies came forward for election to the committee. Since the AGM the committee have co-opted Penny Rivett to fill the fourth vacancy.

The AGM was attended by 26 members. A number of points were brought up including a suggestion that ramble leaders appoint someone to ensure that no one gets lost. This point has been made at the last few AGMs. It must also be acknowledged that members themselves have a responsibility to keep up with the group. Particularly in the moming, as
the leader has to press on to ensure that the group gets to the pub before food service is finished.

Don't forget to bring a torch as it is not always possible to get back to the station before dark.
