3          The minutes from the 64th AGM had been circulated and were accepted as read.

4          There were no matters arising from the minutes.

5          The Secretary's report was given and accepted:

Paul Brunning asked Madeline Lawrence if John was going to continue as Auditor for                  the coming year. Madeline said she could not answer for John in his absence. Paul                      agreed to contact John and report back to the committee.

Paul proposed a vote of thanks to Peter Lobo for his continued help.

The committee which emerged from the 65th A G M were, Helen Hunt as Secretary                     and Kevin Doyle as treasurer, committee members in alphabetical order. Paul                             Brunning, Terry Dobson, Maurice Hickman, Francis Kershaw, Caroline Nolan, Peter                     Macdonald and Catherine Scott. The committee met five times during the year. All                       members of the committee walked during the year and some led rambles. At the first                   committee meeting they had agreed the following distributions of duties, Paul as vice                   President would chair the meetings, Maurice would take over as ramble list compiler.                   Peter and Francis as membership secretaries, Caroline and Catherine as social                           secretaries and Terry would continue map reading sessions.

Social events, Advertising and methods of promoting the Club were discussed at the                   first meeting. All members received a printed notice to place on the notice board in                     their local church. The advertisement for the club was again placed in both the                             Westminster and Southwark Directory for the year. Peter Lobo has agreed to leave his

name as a contact in the Southwark directory, Helen had contacted the Westminster                   directory to alter the name from Mary Hennessy to her name. Ron Scott had also                         agreed to leave his name as a contact in the Brentford Diocesan directory. We had                     several enquiries during the year, a percentage of those became new members.

Social events arranged during the year were, Christmas Dinner at the Hostaria                             Romana in Vauxhall Bridge Road. The Christmas Party which was held in the
Holy Apostles Church Hall in Pirnlico and proved a great success. The committee had                 heard that it may be difficult to book the hall in future as the Priest had been warned                   about the noise from the music. The summer party was also held at the Holy Apostles                 Church Hall and was also well attended. The monthly dinners still continued and were                 attended by 4 to 6 members.

Several members arranged weekend breaks in both France and Great Britain.

Two Masses were also organised by the committee. One on the 1st Saturday in                           October for the Members and a Mass for Deceased Members on the 1st Saturday in                   November. Both were followed by a meal in a local Restaurant.

A day of recollection was organised at The Grail Centre in Pinner. This was attended                   by 18 members. The day was conducted by Jessica of the Grail Centre. Fr David                         Barnes, the Club's President joined us for lunch and participated in the second half of                 the day. He celebrated Mass at the end of the day and the group went away refreshed.

               Lunch was provided.

A committee was formed to promote the publication of a book on the history of the                       club, Caroline Nolan, Tony Finnegan, Paul Brunning, Dorothy Hickman, Mary                               Hennessy and Helen Hunt. Caroline gave an account of what the committee had                         done. A bumper raffle was organised by this committee to raise funds for the book                       project. Helen applied to The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for a Permit to                 run the raffle, this was granted. The raffle was planned to take place at the Christmas                 party next year. This committee also held an afternoon tea party in the Holy Apostles                   Hall. Programmes and news letters from the club records were put on display. Paul                     Brunning, Caroline Nolan and Tony Finnegan sent out invitations to our long standing                 members and asked them to provide any material which may be of use .This was held                 on the same day as the summer party and was very well attended. Material and                           photographs handed over to the committee will be returned to their owners. Paul
said he would contact members and interview them in their homes.

6          Kevin Doyle Presented the Treasurers report of which a copy was distributed to                          members on their way in. A copy will be sent out to all members in the next programme.

7          Several points were raised about rambles. The question of duty members being                          appointed was discussed, ie whose responsibility it was, also that the leaders should                  make sure they do not lose any members on rambles. A few members got lost and had              to find their own way home. It was suggested that this could be avoided if a duty                          member was appointed. Members complained that some leaders do not allow enough                time to catch up. It was also pointed out that the number of members turning up for                      Sunday rambles reached 30 or more and that this amount of people would need careful              monitoring in order to keep the group together. It was suggested by some leaders that                members could help by moving with the group or letting the leader know if there is a                    problem. If members join or leave at the pub stop they should inform the leader. It was                also suggested that some leaders spent too iong in the pub and got back to the station                late. It was also suggested that there were not enough short walks on the programme.                The committee pointed out that a selection of short rambles on Saturday were on
the programme. The question was raised again about leaders been paid expenses for                walkouts. Most leaders said they did not wish to claim expenses but if a leader felt they              could not afford the expense they should contact the committee. It was again suggested              that it would be helpful to have ramble leaders TeI. No in the programme. This remains                up to the individual leaders if they want their Tel. No in the programme.

8          The committee expressed concern that members were falling behind in paying their
subscriptions after receiving several reminders. Members were reminded that their
subscriptions were due in October and membership was deemed to have lapsed if not                paid before the end of December. Subscriptions should be sent to the Treasurer or they              could be paid to any committee member.

ELECTION OF COMMITTEE

9          The new committee elected were as follows: Hon Secretary, Helen Hunt, Hon Treasurer,
Kevin Doyle, Maurice Hickman (Ramble List Compiler), Dorothy Hickman, Tom Heron,
Mike Hoffman, Patrick Lucas and Margaret Moran. This left the committee unbalanced               as we were short of a female member. The committee would try to find a female                           member to join the committee after their first meeting.

7          The meeting was closed at 5.30. Members attended Mass in the Church of the Holy                     Apostles For the St Francis Members which was followed by a meal at Brahms                          Restaurant Lupus St. Pimlico.
