On Saturday 19 November 2022 Pauline led the weekly club walk from Garston, taking in the magnificent Stg Alban's Abbey Cathedral. Details were included in the Autumn Programme as follows and photographs taken on the day have been kindly made available by Antoinette Adkins:

 Meet:       Euston 0930 for 0951 train to Watford Junction (arr 1008) then                        change to platform 11 for 1030 train to Garston (arr 1035)   
Lunch:     Moor Mill Inn, Bricket Wood. Or bring a picnic.
Tea:          St Albans Abbey Cafe. Plenty of other options in the town.                                Possible chance to attend the Evensong Service in the                                    Cathedral. 
Distance: 9 mainly level miles along the Var Valley finishing at St Albans.
Fare:         Option 1; CDR St Albans Abbey £9.55/ Boundary zone 6                                  £5.40, both with railcard discounts.  
                  Option 2; Ramblers can also return from St Albans City                                  (Thameslink), very frequent direct trains back to St  Pancras and
                  points further south.
                  Single ticket prices, all with railcard discounts. 
                  From Euston to Garston £8.40 / Boundary zone 6 £3.60. 
                  Back from St Albans City to St Pancras £6.50 / Boundary                                zone 6 £3.65.
