On Sunday 29 July 2007 Maurice Hickman led a walk advertised as follows in the Summer Programme:

Sunday 29th July (Explorer Map 123)            Leader: Maurice Hickman
 
MEET        : Victoria at 0920 for 0947 train to Eastbourne (arr. 1119)

LUNCH      : Tiger Inn, East Dean
TEA            : Birling Gap and then cliff-top walk back to Eastbourne

DISTANCE : 12 miles, returning from Eastbourne
FARE         : £13.40 CDR with Network Card
There will be a possibility of a dip/swim at Birling Gap, weather permitting. Regular buses run between Eastbourne, East Dean, Birling Gap and Beachy Head.
