The summer programme carried the following announcement of a walk to be led by Roger and Virginia Yelland on Sunday 21 August 2016:

Meet :              Liverpool Street 09.20 for 09.43 to Cheshunt (arr 10.10). Train also calls

                        Seven Sisters (Victoria line) 09.56 NB This is a change from the printed

                        programe made necessary by the dreaded engineering works.

Lunch                        : The Crown, Broxbourne (TL373 067). Good Ale & Food, with a

                         Garden alongside the Lea Navigation towpath. Very close to

                         Broxbourne station.

Tea                 : Cheshunt.

Distance        : A leisurely 9-10 miles in the Lea Valley: the Lea Navigation Canal,

                         Lakes, Woods, a Hill, Wetlands, and a working millwheel. Returning

                         from Cheshunt.

Fare                : £7.25 cdr to Cheshunt with NSE discount.
