August 1994

 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Holy Apostles (Small Hall)

Cumberland St, London SW

Saturday 8 October 1994

3 pm for 3 30 pm

There will be refreshments available frorn S pm. The meeting will start promptly at 3 30.

AII·the existing members of the committee will stand down at the AGM. Philip Evans, Peter Lobo and Mary Hennessy have each served at least 2 consecutive years on the committee and do not wish to be re-elected. This means there will be vacancies for Ramble List Compiler, Treasurer and Secretary. At the end of the meeting we require 4 men and 4 women to form the next committee.

I have enjoyed my time as Secretary, and being on the committee. Our
Meetings have been held in members homes. A relaxed informal atmosphere got a lot of work done. The A la Carte menus were very varied. and always good.
Thanks to all.

Each person has a choice about how much time they can give and duties are allocated accordingly. Nobody will find it a chore.

.

We all enjoy our rambles each Sunday. The past year we have included some training days for learner leaders and extended the social side.

What way do you see the club developing? Any ideas? Come to the AGM. Have your voice heard. Maybe come on the next committee. Anyway give it some serious thought.

Nomination slips on the back cover.

There will be Mass in the church at 6 PM and this will be followed by
dinner at Brahms Restaurant in Lupus St. To facilitate booking
please ring Helen Hunt or Mary Hennessy if you are staying for the meal, but last minute decisions will be accommodated if possible.

Peace Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace;
Where there is hatred...let me sow love;
Where there is injury...pardon;
Where there is doubt...faith;
Where there is despair...hope;
Where there is darkness... light;
Where there is sadness...joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled... as to console,
to be understood...as to understand,
to be loved...as to love.
For

it is in giving...that we receive;
it is in pardoning...that we are pardoned;
it is in dying...that we are born to eternal life. Amen
