For the information of new members, the committee is composed of four ladies and four gentlemen. The duties of committee members include acting as duty member on rambles (i.e. looking after new members, seeing that gates are closed and making sure that no one gets lost). The committee also assists with running off the lists and magazines etc. A committee member may also have special responsibility e.g. magazine liaison.
If you enjoy the Club activities it is the least you can do to help others enjoy them also and give one year on the committee,(don't hide your light under a bushel!).
The social sub-committee is appointed by the main committee and is responsible for arranging the Tuesday evening and Saturday events.
The ladies prepare and serve tea on Tuesdays and the gentlemen help with getting the record equipment out and putting it away. Although elections are not held for this committee it would be helpful if people willing to serve on it gave their names to the current Secretary so that she can pass them on to the next Secretary.

General appeal for......HELP,,..,HELP......
Owing to·a wedding·and to holidays and also to the fact that some of our members on the Social Sub Committee have to work late it is sometimes very hard on the few who are· early to get all the equipment ready for the evening we therefore, ask all members of a Tuesday to please help with both setting up and the putting away of all the chairs, records etc. Miost evenings the required help is more than forthcoming but now and then a few of the I workers are left all alone. So all hands on deck please.Thank you.
N.B. On rambles after the end of October it will be advisable to carry a torch as the clocks will be put back an hour.
