as soon as they can? These lists have to be typed out 3 weeks before they are despatched (at least) so the ramble compiler would be very grateful for speeded up information!
School Floor
Please wear soft shoes on dance nights, the floor has been sanded and Mr. Costelic (our. new caretaker) is anxious to keep it nice.
New school caretaker
We forgot to welcome the new caretaker, Mr. Costello, and hasten to do so now.
Mr. Costello is as kind to us as was his predecessor and we hope to enjoy his services for many years yet.
New President
It is with very great regret that we have to announce the resignation of our,President, Father Collingwood, who has retired from St. Mary Moor fields owing to ilL-health. We would like to take this opportunity of:expressing the club's gratitude to Father Colligwcod for the many kindnesses.he has ·shown us and we hope father will regain his good health.
we would also· Iike to welcome Father Collingwood' s successor to the parish, Father Maurice Ryan, who has kindiy consented to be our next president and thereby continue the tradition of of this club's liaison with St. Mary Moorfields. Father Ryan has accepted the invitation to chair ttie A.G.M. tHis yEar and we will, therefore, have the pleasure of welcoming and introducing him to he club on that occasion
Annual·Coach Outing

This will take Place on 5th October and will be to Littlecote Manor and/or
Inkpen Beacon, near Hungerford. John Lawrence is leading a very short ramble for those who would like to· stretch their legs. WilI those who wish:to go on this outing please send 10/ - deposit to John. by 20th September. The outing will be.preceded by Mass at 9.3O a. m. at St. Mary Moorfields and the coach departs at 10.20 a.m. from the church. Total cost ·will be 14/- which includes tip for the driver.

John will also be leading a: midnight ramble for those happy souls who seem to prefer the dark of night to the light of day for their meanderings. Details on

Father Andrew cAme to us On 1st July. Because of the rather unhappy title I gave to his 'talk', and also many of us wEre on holiday, not very many people were at the school when he and half-a-dozen student friars came along. He proved immensely popular and owing to demand, Father has consented to nake a return.visit on.11th November.I£ you missed tae first visit, don't miss this one.
He will be bringing his singing Franciscan rninstrels with him again, and we will have some more folk-song hymns etc. as be±ore. Do come along, and enjoy yourselves!

This wili be preceded by 7 p. m. mass in St Josenh's church. Nomination forms are enclosed with this list. The Committee is comprised of four ladies and four gents. All nomination forms for the new Committee must reach the Secretary no later than · 22nd September· There :may: be more than two nominations for Secretary .and Treasurer, as is the case with the rest of the Committee.

been particularly assigned..
