Hello Ramblers.

As we start a new programme of rambles. let's call it an OPEN SEASON and invite all our friends. Really. Ramblers, when you think of it, our leaders have prepared such lovely walks it would be a good idea to share them with others who have not yet discovered our club, so bring them along as guests, and some of them might like to become members.

 

DIAMOND JUBILEE

 

Fred has made all the arrangements as follows:

 

Saturday 29 September: Westminster Cathedral Conference Centre

 

3 pm - 10 pm.

 

3 pm Coffee and biscuits

4.pm    Holy Mass at the Conference Centre

6 pm    Grand Buffet Supper - by a firm of caterers.

There will be a cash bar from 5 pm to 9.30 pm

 

We will have plenty of fun and entertainment, with the help of Philip Evans and company, and if you would like to do some entertaining yourself, please let Fred know.

 

Fred is selling tickets now at £12, and would be very grateful if you would contact all past and present members.

 

HOLIDAY IN ASSISI

 

Eugene Donnelly is taking a party to Assisi in October and is collecting the deposits now. He will hold a meeting for everyone who is going, some time in June. Please call him.

 

THE ST RICHARD'S PILGRIMAGE: 18 AUGUST - 1 SEPTEMBER

 

Maurice Hickman's day for leading the party is Friday, 24 August. Join us at The Cricketers' in Berwick and continue walking after lunch: 8 miles, to Hailsham. For full details of this day and the whole pilgrimage contact Maurice, or Peter Lobo.

And she also recommends a visit to Rochester on 6 June. where Fr. Alban Carroll will give a mid-day tour of the Cathedral followed by Holy Mass in the Crypt. The group continues to Aylesford and returns to Beckenham by coach; it is possible, however. to spend the whole day in Rochester.
