NEW MEMBERS We have the pleasure of welcoming the following nifw members, and
hope that they will be joining us in many of our activitees: Ann Peers, Bernadette Smith and Michael Butler.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP Subscriptions for 1979/80 will become due from 4 October1979. Anyone who has been a member for 10 years or more will now he able to apply for Life Membership. The subscription is 10 times the current annual sub. As the annual ,subscription is at present £1.50 cost of Life Membership this year will be £15. Once paid this fee will be non-returnable in the event of the club ceasing to exist, or the member wishing to disassociate. Where either partner has been a member for 10 or more years, a married cuuple will he eligible for Life Membership.
CHANGING ADDRESS Please, please, please, if you move house, do let us have a note of your new address. None of the committee membersare telepathic. A very large number of club members have moved house recently, and fortunately most of them did inform us of their new address, but a few others have written to say they haven't received the current programme, and the address from which they have written is not the same as the one on the club records. If you become a Life Member this will be even more important, because if you do not notify us you have moved we could go on sending ramble lists to a houseful of strangers or a pile of rubble till eternity.
LEAD A RAMBLE Do you. ever wish there were more rambles in a particular area? The venue of a ramble is the choice of the leader, so why not lead one? Plan it out and fill in the tear-off portion below. Send it to Michael Pallett as soon as possible, and by 5 August at the latest. The earlier you send off the better chance you have of getting the date of your first choice.

The Prayer of St Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where them is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there in darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant
That I may not so much seek,
To be consoled, as to console;
To be und.erstood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
