TUESDAY EVENINGS - Time to spare after work? Then join us for a meal at the Copper Kitchen Restaurant. Situated. almost opposite St. Mary Moorfield's Church in Eldon Street, the restaurant is.open until 7 p.m. For those who finish work early, there·is Holy Mass each evening at 5.30 p.m.

 

Unless otherwise stated, social events at Bunhill Row commence at 7.30 p.m.

 

In accordance with the recommendations made at the A.G. M, that the payments made for the use of the Hall at Bunhill Row shouId be increased,· it has been found necessary to raise the cost of social events, other than Square Dances, from 1/6d to 2/-.

 

EASTER 1967:-·Richrd is organising a Youth Hostel party for Sandown; lsle  of Wight. If you are interested please coritact him. Mary Walsh is arranging hotel aceommodation very·near. the Youth Hostel. If you would prefer this, please. cohtact Mary.

For the children of past. and present members, a party will be held at Bunhill Row, commencing at 3 p.rri. Kath Marney has· kindly offered to organise this event again this year, and will supply all the details to parents who would like to bring their children along. Kath would like to hear from:any.parents who have lost touch with us, their children will be very welcome to join the party.

 Dancing . . . . . . . . . A special dance for beginners on uesday 28th February.   How to get to St.Joseph's?     .

Go to the Finsbury Square end of Moorgate turn left into Chiswell Street),right(into Bunhill Row),left(into Lamb's Paggage). Use the playground entrance facing onto Lamb's Passage. The dance starts at 7.30p.m

 

              . . . . . . . . . The annual square dance. On Tuesday 28th March ie have hired the hall of the French Church: in leicester Square and a band,the Kent Cobs,and a caller,Francis Hawkins of the English Folk and Dance Society. Expenses are high and we need your support. Tickets 5/- from any member of the social committee. The dance starts at 8. 00p.m.

 

Skating . . . . . . . . . On Tuesday l4th March and again on Tuesday 4th April. Meet outside the ice rink at Streatham at 730:p.m. The nearest station is Streatham on the Wimbledon Line from 'Holbom Viaduct or Blackfriars,and there are also trains from L·ondon Bridge. Price of admission 5/6. Hire of skates 2/-.

Tennis . . . . . . . . . A group of members will be playing tennis on Friday evenings in Regents Park, starting l4th April. Contact Bernie Doran.

 

Photogrgphic competition.. . . . . . . . . Mick McKeown and Jean Horan have kindly consented to be judges. If you have any good photos of club:activities,holidays, London,etc., black and white, colour prints or transparencies, send them either to Jean.  Mick, or give them to any member of the social committee. A maximum of 3 photos   per person. Closing date Tuesday 11th April.

Mick will be arranging a display of enlargements of the best photos on Tuesday 2nd May. At a cheese and wine party that evening prizes will be awarded for the three best entries.

Iisten to a recording of Sir John Barbirolli conducting the Halle Orchestra, and. the Halle Choir, in a performance of Elgar's "Dream of Gerontius".
