ANNUAL RETREAT Sunday 14tih. March '65 .
At La Retrait Convent, Atkins Rd, Clapham Park, SW 12 . Rev. Father F . W. Dillon is looking forward tomeeting all of us . The first conference will be at 11 a.m. Holy lf'lass will be at 12.00 noon please note that this is earlier than last year.--
Directions Northern Line Tube train to Clapham SOUTH station. On coming out of the station cross the road to the Womens' Hospital opposite.'l'urn left and proceed to tIle first set of traffic lights at the corner of Cavendish Rd, turn right into Cavendish Rd . and keeping on the right hand side of the road, walk sbraight down to La Retrait School which is on the corner of Atkins Rd. ( on the left hand side of Cavendish) . The entrance to the Convent is in Atkins Rd, a few yards along. Tube journey from Charing Cross, or, from the Bank is about 20/30 min. then the walk down Cavendish Rd another 10 min. Buses 181, 88 , and 155 stop in ClaDham High St at the top of Cavendish Rd . and the 118 stopS at the junction of Poinders Rd, with Cavendish,Should all the tub trains be the "Kennington only" ones then get the train that far and wait at Kennington for the next Morden one, as there might be one on the other line - just through the passage – way connecting the two lines
The cost of the Retreat will be 10/– this includes all meals and will be collected at tea time. Please let Meg Walsh have your names by the 6th. of March if you wish to attend the retreat so that the nuns will know how many to cater for. We expect about100 as for the last five, or, six years the number of members at the retreat has been just. higher than for the Dinner and Dance.were this time 99 folk arrived! The "Question Box'' will be waiting for any
"questions" that you may wish to ask Father Dillon.
A MASS will be said for Ann Tucker on Friday 2nd of April and for Frank Austin Friday 7th of May Both Ann and Frank were early members of thc Club - the former our Treasurer some time before the war and the latter served on the Committee for many years. The two Msses will be at St. Joseph's Bunhill Row at 8 p.m. A Mass will be arranged forMr. Harris whom many of you will remember at St. Joseph's School, he died on the 22nd. of January
EASTER we are spending at Streatley. Members joining both the hostel and the hotel group have already let Tony Chutney, or, Meg Walsh have their names and £1 deposits . We shall be able to book a coach: Full details regarding times of travel Etc. will be given out soon.
CHILDRENS 'PARTY: - for the children of present and past members of the Club , This is being held at St. Joseph's Bunhill Row on Saturday the 8th. of May. Kath IVIarney will be pleased to suppply full details to all the "parent"s'1 who would like to bring their children along, also , would members let Kath know of any :' children“ vtlose parents may have lost touch with us and so may miss this note. Offers of help on the day, or, of FOOD for the party will be received with open arms by Kath and Co .
0UTING TO THE SEA please reserve Sunday June 20th . Meantime "wrack" your brains and advise us of a spot thaI we may visit--Sand to play on/sleep on, sea to swim in / paddle in, and plenty of good tea shops , fairly short journey and next to nothing in fares! We await your early replies.

CLUB HOLIDAYS May 29th. to 5th. June .
A week at–Penzance to visit the surrounding places of interest.
A full day's visit - staying one night will be arranged to the Scilly Isles. The cost of this visit will be about £3. Six full days will be booked at the Y .H . at Penzance including all meals by kind permission of the Warden. Such a visit will be quite in order as the hostel will not be full at that time of the year
The total cost with the Scilly Isles visit will be about £14, By rail to Penzance on Saturday morning the 29th. of May and returning on the Saturday 5th. June . A deposit of £3 will be required by the 10th.of April and should be sent to Patrick Shaw.
