Christmas Party: This year we held the party at the Phoenix Pub in Palace
Street Victoria as we could not acquire a hall. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. An excellent buffet was provided by members. Music was provided with tapes and CD's catering for all tastes. We had a raffle with prizes generously donated by members. The Party raised £57, after deduction of expenses. A good night was enjoyed by all who attended. We may return to the Phoenix Pub for a social evening in the the future.

RAMBLE LIST AND NEWS March - MAY 1999
COpy DATE FOR THE NEXT PROGRAMME: FRIDAY 23RD APRIL

Five new leaders over two programmesCongratulations to Greg McCormick and Patrick Crehan for their  contributions in the last programme, and to Catherine Scott, Maria Darroch, and David Robbins for their efforts in this programme. Thanks should also go to Stephen Graham, Ranald Watson, and .John Burbage for stepping forward in the last year. This is very heartening for the club after a few of our most experienced leaders were recently no longer able to offer their  services, however we still need others to help spread the load a bit further. For all the present leaders routefinding and leading is a labour of love, but please bear in mind the time and effort given to make the walks possible, and consider if you could help out as well.
