RAMBLE LEADERS
Philip would welcome offers to lead rambles. If you wish to lead a ramble during the months of June, July or August Philip will need the details by the end of April.

CHRISTMAS PARTY
Many thanks to Rene who organised the catering and made several Pizzas and other
savouries. Thanks too to all who brought such delicious 9akes and savouries those who helped prepare food and those who washed and cleared up. Thanks, too, to Philip for calling the square dances. About 45-50 attended and, I hope, enjoyed the evening.
DAY OF RECOLLECTION - SUNDAY 13 MARCH 1983
Father Cassion Frost OFMl will conduct the Day. It will be held at the Southwark Diocesan Catechetical Centre, 21 Tooting Bec Road, SW17 (opposite Tooting Bec Underground Station Northern Line). Cost will be£1l.75 - £2.00 depending on numbers. This will be colllected on the day.
Arrive from 10.30 - 11.00 for coffee - the provisional programme is - 11 00 Talk, 12 noon - Mass, 1.00 pm Lunch, 2.00pm talk, 3.00 pm Question Time, 4 00 pm Tea, 4.30 pm Benediction.
Bring sandwiches for lunch, coffee will be provided.
If you are coming, please complete and return the form at the end of the list (or
ring Dorothy) before Friday 4 March, so that we can let Fr Frost and the convent know what number to expect.

EASTER HOSTEL WEEKEND - GOOD FRIDAY, 1 APRIL - EASTER MONDAY, 4 APRIL 1983
Those who have booked for the hostel weekend at Stow-in-the-Wold should meet on Good
Friday, 1 April at Victoria Coach Station, Bay 1 at 9.15 am to catch the 9.45 am Oxford South Midland service 191 coach to Moreton-in-the-Marsh (arrives 12.20).
At Moreton we will catch the 13.10 bus from Moreton Town Hall to Stow police stution. You are strongly advised to purchase a weekend return ticket to Moreton in-the-Marsh in advance from your local travel agent. Cost of ticket will be approximately £8.00. Details of train times on Good Fridav are not yet available from British Rail. If British Rail decide to run a Sunday service the only morning train is the 8.10 which would be too early for most people.
This is a self-cooking weekend so please bring something to cook, at least for Saturday's breakfast unless you want to chance the Warden's cooking.
Those travelling by coach will return on the 18 00 service 191 from Moreton-in-the-Marsh on Monday 4 April (arrives 20.40).

let Maurice know.
ST GEORGE' S DAY SQUARE DANCE - SATURDAY 23 APRIL1983
This will be held in the church hall beneath St Anselm' s and St Cecilia' s, Kingsway, WCl (near Holborn tube Station) - staring at 7 30 pm - cost £1.00.
There is Mass in the church at 6 00 pm and a Wimpy opposite.

RUNNING OFF OF THE CLUB LISTS
Offers of help will be warmly accepted by the Committee. The running off takes place from 7 30 pm at Meg and Mary Walsh's home, on one or two evenings just before the current list finishes.
TRANSPORT STRIKES
In the event of prolonged strikes on rail or tube, send a stamped addrossed envelope to the secretary to get details of alerrnative arrangements.
Always make sure the back of the ramble is in sight. If you can ' t see those behind you when the ramble turns on to another path, attract the attention of those in front of you so that the leader will be told to wait.
