EMERGENCY TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS DURING A.S.L.E.F. OVERTIME BAN
Once again we have to make alternative arrangements for our rambles because of industrial action on British Rail. Let us hope it is settled again as soon as last year when .only one ramble was affected. The ban on Sunday working starts today hut fortunately the Christmas ramble involves travel by the Underground and is not affected. Most of the amended details involve travel by Green Line coach and members are recommended to purchase a GOLDEN ROVER ticket which will cover all the day's travelling. If you can travel into London by Green Line you may use it for this journey also and of course the journey home. The price is 75p and you get them from the conductor (or driver) of the first coach you hoard. PLEASE NOTE: if railway services return to normal the arrangements shown on the liet will apply and these alternatives are cancelled,

Please therefore try to join rambles at the start to ensure being with the party. In a few cases it may not be possible for Duty members who live out of London and are not near a tube or Green Line route to reach the revised start point. In these circumstances the first Committee member to arrive is asked to undertake duty if necessary where no alternate arrangements have already been mde.
