Of Annual General Meeting

Saturday 2 October 3 pm for 3 30 at Holy Apostles (small) Hall.

The AGM will this year take place on Saturday 2 October (note the time, bv popular request 3 30 PM) Refreshments from 3 PM and meeting begins promptly at  3 30.

All the existing committee members will stand down at the AGM. 7 of us are barred from being re-nominated before the AGM (paragraph 3 b of our constitution) since all members except Mary Hennessy have served for at least 2 consecutive years. At the end of the AGM we should have a committee of 4 men and 4 women, including a new Secretary and Treasurer. So please give your most careful consideration to letting yourself be nominated and also persuade other members to accept nomination. It's great fun being on the committee and you get a warm feeling for doing your
duty as well! So have a go - don't let this opportunity pass!

Nomination slips are on the back page. If you want to nominate more than one person or do not wish to mutilate your programme feel free to make some copies.

Peace Prayer of St Francis

Lord make me an instrument of thy peace

Where there is hatred .. .let me sow love

Where there is injury ... pardon; Where there is doubt...faith; Where there is despair ... hope; Where there is darkness .. .light; Where there is sadness .. joy.

O Divine Master, grant that  I may not so I much seek

To be consoled ... as to console

To be understood .. as to understand

To be loved ... as to love

For

It is in giving ... that we receive.

It is in pardoning .. that we are pardoned

It is in dying ... that we are born to eternal life.
