THE POPE'S PASTORAL VISIT
Members who missed highlights of the visit or would like to see them again are invited by John and Madelaine Lawrence to their home on the following dates:-
SATURDAY,25 SEPTEMBER - The Mass at Westminster Cathedral
SATURDAY 30 OCTOBER     - The Celebration of Faith at Canterbury                                                               Cathedral
SATURDAY 27 NOVEMBER  - Open Air Mass at Coventry Airport
Meeting time for all dates is 6 o'clock for 6 30 pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. If supported the series will be continued in the New Year. This is a very generous offer and I hope it will be well attended.


HOSTEL WEEKEND AT OXFORD
Maurice Hickman is organising a self-cooking Youth Hostel Weekend at Oxford leaving on FRIDAY 22 OCTOBER on the 18 45 coach (No 190) from Victoria Coach Station - the cost of a weekend return on the coach is £4.25 - it leaves fron Bay 1.
Those wishing to go on this weekend please send Maurice a deposit of £5.00 to reach him by 18 September. After that date bookings will not be accepted by Maurice and you will have to book direct wi th the Warden at the Hostel at Oxford.


ANNUAL MASS FOR DECEASED MEMBERS
SUNDAY 14 NOVEMBER - Mass will be at 9 30 am at St Mary Moorfields, Eldon Street.
(Nearest tube is Moorgate Station, Northern Line or Liverpool Street Station) 
Would as many people as possible please try to attend this Mass.


ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Please keep TUESDAY 12 OCTOBER free - more details will be sent out nearer the date with Agenda and Minutes.
Please.think about a new Committee for 1982/83. Most of the present committee's term of office is up and we need new members to help keep the Club active for another year. All nominations to be sent to the Secretary as soon as possible (form on back page) We need four men and four ladies for the Canmittee.


BRITISH RAIL are offering Special Cheap Day Return Tickets for the month of September (mainly Southern England) for parties of up to 5. One person pays the full Awayday fare and four others may pay £l.OO each and then divide the cost by 5.
In order to take advantage of this offer would those going out on a British Rail trip arrive a few minutes earlier than stated on the list. This will enable us to buy the Special Awayday. The offer does not apply to London Transport (Underground) day returns.
