ANNUAL COACH OUTING 1975 [Note for the website: the printed prograppe did say "1975" but the heading of the programme was "Programme of events for June, July and August 1974" and as 29 September fell on a Monday in 1975 it is assumed that "1975 was a misprint at the time] This year the Annual Coach outing on September 29th will be to Selborne in Hampshire, Selborne is an unspoilt village where pioneer naturalist Gilbert White lived and wrote. His house and garden 'The Wakes' is open to the public and houses a museum of items connected with his work and also with Captain Oates of Antarctic fame, who is also a native of the village. The Norman/Saxon church is also well worth a visit. On the return t:rip it is possible we may visit St. MichaeI's Benedictine Abbey in Farnborough for their patronal feast. We are hoping to be shown round the Abbey, which has associations with the Imperial Napoleon family hefore going into the town for tea returning after to the Abbey for Vespers and Benediction at 6 p.m. before continuing back to London. Coach estimates are not yet to hand but we are hoping it will be the same price as last year (£1.00). The outing will as usual be preceeded oy the AlilNUAL MASS FOR MEMBERS at St. Maryy Moorfields and all members are asked to earmark this date whether they wish to come on the coach trip or not.

SECRETARY'S APOLOGY The Secretary. regrets that due to this list being produced in rather a hurry some events have been listed out of strict
chronological order because they were first forgotten or for some other reason too complicated to explain.

But I trust the apology is not necesary now because for the website version I have tried, hopefully successfully, to put all events in the correct date order.
