On Saturday 8 September 2018 Pauline Lobo led her first walk as sole leader.. It was advertised in the Autumn programme as follows:

Saturday 8th September                                             Leader: Pauline Lobo OS map 166
Meet: Euston 0900 for 0924 West Midland train to Watford Junction (arr 0939) then change for 0946 to Garston (arr 0951).
Lunch: Moor Mill Inn at Bricket Wood (early lunch).
Tea: St Albans. There will be time to visit the Cathedral.
Distance: 9 easy miles through Ver Valley and passing Verulamium. May be muddy in places.
Fare: £4.45 CDR St Albans Abbey from Boundary zone 6 with railcards.
If ramblers want to return from St Albans City on direct services to St Pancras International and stations further south the single fare from boundary zone six to Garston is £2.95 and from St Albans City back to boundary zone six is £3.35, both with railcard discounts.

Although the walk began at Garston a major feature of it was the majestic St Alban's Abbey Church so I have broken with normal tradition and named this page after the Abbey rather than after the starting point.
