On Sunday 13 November 2016 Paul Connolly led a group of 11 ramblers in a walk commencing from Purfleet in Essex. Our two most regular photographers, Antoinette and Sheila have kindly provided the photographs below, some even with captions also.

Hidden away in the city of London Fenchurch Street Station was the starting point for the journey to Purfleet.

A crisp November day, idea for a walk along the Essex side of the Thames estuary from Purfleet.

In the distance can be seen the Queen Elizabeth II Dartford Crossing, one of the newest bridges over the Thames. Closer views will emerge as the walk proceeds and next week we will get good views of it from the Kent side of the estuary.

The estuary can look cold and uninviting on a November.
