On Sunday 16 August Paul Connolly was due to lead his walk from Cholsey on a route we have walked before but on this occasion the walk was planned in the reverse direction. In the event Paul was unwell and could not lead on the day but in the best traditions of the club two other  members gallantly stepped in and led the walk - Lizzy Cripps who is relatively new to the club but I suspect no stranger to leading and our gallant photographer Antoinette who is far from new to the club but had not led before. In fact she says she had never read a Landranger map before. So our thanks to the two heroines who ensured the continuation of the club's proud tradition of putting on the walk despite the unavoidable difficulties. Not only did Antoinette gallantly share the leadership burden but she also took the following photographs as she went along.
