Maurice Hickman's Redhill/Gatton Park ramble was the main attraction for that weekend. It was announced in the programm as follows:

Meet : Victoria at 10.00 for 1027 train to Redhill (arr. 10.57)
Lunch : The Feathers, Merstham
Tea : Gatton Hall and/or Redhill
Distance : 7-8 miles returning from Redhill
Fare : £7.45 with NSE discount. Oyster can also be used at Redhill
Station.
There should be an Open Day today at Gatton Park. The entrance fee for this is £4.
There is much to see including the Japanese Gardens and The Lake. A visit would only be made if the weather conditions are favourable.
Maurice's walks are always popular and the mention of Gatton Park made this one extra special. 23 people turned out on the day, a record number by recent standards, and Antoinette Adkins obtained the following delightful shots taken on the day.
