The autumn 2016 programme carried the following details of the ramble for Sunday 6 November.

Meet  : 10.30am at Chorleywood Station (Metropolitan Line, zone 7).  

Walkers can take the 09.57 train from Marylebone Station to arrive at 10.24.

Lunch : The Coy Carp,

Tea : Possibly at Bury Lake

Distance : 9.5 miles; a linear walk along rolling hills and historic lanes with panoramic views of the Northern Colne valley  returning from Rickmansworth.

Fare  :All travel covered by Oyster card & Freedom Pass.  Both stations are served by the Metropolitan line and by Chiltern Railways from Marylebone station.

This was Maria's first walk as leader and a good number of ramblers turned out, including two of our favourite photographers, Antoinette Adkins and Roger Yelland. Their photographs appear below,hopefully roughly in the order in which they were taken.
