On Sunday 2 September 2018 Lizzie Cripps and Antoinette Adkins kicked off the Autumn walking season with a sunshine from Dover to Deal, promulgated as follows in the Autumn programme:

Meet: St Pancras International 09.10 for 09.37 HS1 to Dover Priory (arr 10.41).

Also calls at Stratford International 09.43 and Ashford International 10.14.

You can also take a slower train from Charing Cross 0840 arriving Dover Priory 1035.

Lunch: There will be a short mid-day refreshment break (bring your own snack) Fish and chip supper at Sea View restaurant in Deal, at approximately 4.30pm.

Distance: 11 miles returning from Deal. Some hills and steep steps to climb.

Fare: £21.70 CDR HS1 with railcards. £17.80 CDR from Charing Cross with railcards.

Anyone returning from Deal to Charing Cross will need to change at Ashford International.

Walk will commence from Dover at 1041 prompt.
