On Saturday 6 April 2019 Kevin McNamara led a walk along a much loved stretch of the Thames from Richmond to Hampton Court. For a week or so before the walk the website version of the Spring programme carried the details shown below, and one of the ramblers - Martin - has kindly provided the photographs also shown below which he took on the day:

Please note the outward travel arrangements for this ramble have changed since the programme was circulated  and are now as follows:

 

Meet        : Waterloo, under famous clock on concourse, at 10 15 (NB                               NOT 1030) for 10 39 (NB NOT 1045) train to Clapham                                   Junction arriving 1047. Then connect with the 1058 (platform                         5) to Richmond - arr 1106.

                   If ramblers are coming from Victoria the latest connection is                           the 1036 service arriving Clapham Junction 1044.
 
                   District line and Overground services to Richmond are                                     running as normal.
 
                   Kevin will be at Waterloo to meet the ramblers.
 
                   The return journey from Hampton Court is unaffected.

 

Lunch     : The Boaters Inn, Kingston, on riverside. Benches nearby for anyone bringing a picnic.
Tea          : Various options at Hampton Court.
Distance : 8 level miles from Richmond to Hampton Court along Thames Path. Could be muddy in parts. The morning walk will be south of the river. The shorter afternoon walk will be north of the river.
Fare : Oyster/Freedom pass/Travelcard options.
