On Saturday 28 July 2018 Kevin McNamara brought the rambling month of July to a fitting climax with a walk around Margate. The walk had been advertised as follows in the Summer programme:

Meet: Victoria 08 15 for 08 40 train to Margate (arr 10 25).

Also high speed train from St Pancras International 0909 calling

Stratford International 0916 arriving Margate 1039.

Lunch: The Captain Digby, Kingsgate Bay

Tea: The Royal Victoria Pavilion (Wetherspoons), Ramsgate or other options nearby

Distance: 9 miles, returning from Ramsgate. The walk is mostly along the cliff top path with views over the channel, and several secluded coves.

Fare: From Victoria £17.80 CDR Ramsgate with Railcards – Not valid on HS1 trains.
