On 14 November 2010 Tony Norton led the ramblers on one

of his famous walks in the Chilterns beginning and ending at

Wendover and stopping for lunch at the plough in Lower

Caddesdon.  See Sheila's photographic record of the day

below

Heading off from the station with leader Tony in the middle in

this photograph

As always on q November walk it was not long before mud appeared

Then for a brisk morning walk on the Ridgeway

And the ascent of Coombe hill

And morning mist

A brief stop to remember the dead at the Boer War memorial

And then onwards towards the pub

A chance encounter with a herd of the famous belted Galloway

cows

Our photographer's caption likened them to a cross between

a teddy bear and a koala

Some slippery slopes were encountered

And autumn colours

Note the colourful tree and the red leaves on the ground

Slipping and sliding along the muddy path

Chequers, the country residence of the Prime Minister

More mud!!

homeward bound in the afternoon

Sunshine on the horizon

And finally our gallant photographer stood for a photograph
