On 3 May 2010 Robert Slater led a great walk from Tring, on which we saw the sights from the Ivinghoe Beacon and lots and lots of Bluebells.  Sheila's memories and one or two of Robert's own sre shown below:

There was also refreshing shade to be enjoyed

 

 

And Robert kept us informed about interesting features of the area we were walking through

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don't think I have ever seen such profusion of bluebells on a single walk

 

 

 

 

Of course a "high point" of the day was the ascent of and then the views from

the Ivinghoe Beacon!!!

Two group photos were taken on the summit, one by Sheila with the leader in it

 

And one with the leader's camera with both Sheila and himself in it!!

I don't know what is going on here!!

Then towards the end of the walk there was a very pleasant surprise with cake

at the monument cafe to celebrate Carol's birthday today.
