On Tuesday 27 December 2016 Maurice Hickman brought the year's rambling to a close with the 6th walk he led in 2016 and the 333rd walk he has led in a long life of Rambling with St Francis of Assisi Catholic Ramblers. The walk was advertised in the Winter Programme as follows:

Tuesday 27th December (map Explorer 146).      Leader:  Maurice Hickman

Meet    : Victoria 10.10 for 10.31 train to Holmwood (arr. 11.32).

Lunch  :  The Surrey Oaks, Parkgate near Newdigate.

Tea     :  Not likely

Distance :  8 miles returning from Holmwood.

Fare        : £8.70 with Network Car Some hills on this walk but they are not too demanding.

Maurice will meet everyone on the train at Dorking.
